Hello all,
the normal behavior of the 180 degrees code is like on this video :
youtube.com/watch?v=101qjGTH … annel_page
it’s not following a movement from right to left (in straight line on the ps2 stick i mean)
it follows the direction of the PS2 stick from the center to the position you are pointing with the stick, but as normal servo is 180 degrees range max , when you are pointing “back” the servo is following the direction with his back, on the video there’s 2 IR sensors back to back on the servo, so when pointing back it’s the rear IR sensor working.
some examples
go full forward with the PS2 stick, the servo will not move,
go full backwad now it will not move too
go full forward and right (NE direction) the servo will go 45 degrees right
go full backward and left now (in staight line to SW) the servo will not move
go full forward now then keep pushing forward and turn a bit right and left the servo will follow like on the video
now keep moving on the PS2 stick external circle and try to reach full right for example, the servo will try to turn 90 degrees right but when you will go more than full right and start to go a little in the down circle, the servo will not be able to follow and will turn 180 opposite way to start to follow the backward direction with his back
if you move “only” the stick from left to right in straight line it will try to go to -90 degrees or + 90 degrees BUT if your right or left position (horizontal stick move) is a bit on the backward it will perform the 180 degrees full speed opposite move to follow with its back !
so, i have two questions :
does it work fine if you go forward and move right or left from this position (staying in the half up circle on the PS2 pad) ?
do you need it to work another way like following only the left/right value off the stick ?
