Camera for robot underwater

Hi, I need suggestions about what kind of camera to use for a highschool-level robotics underwater competition.

We need cameras that can be connected to a single monitor and that can be connected to cables that are 10-15m long.

Hi,

What about a GoPro with a water tight enclosure?

That won’t work because we’re not allowed to use cameras with batterties.

How are you planning to power the robotic platform and camera if not using a battery ?
What kind of controller the robotic platform is using ?
We do offer a large selection of Camera modules. These are NOT waterproof cameras and most of them need to be interfaced with a controller/SBC (single board computer) like the Raspberry Pi. As ThePhilStudio suggested, it could be a good idea to use a ready-to-use waterproof camera like the GoPro if you can find a way to power it.

I think some of the newer pool cleaning robots have a built-in camera? They’re expensive though so I don’t think they’d be affordable enough for a high school competition. You can always write to the manufacturer though and see if they’d send you a used one

I agree with help advisor.
You could try eBay for a used pool cleaner and hack it.
Use a plug for the port holes. You can find rubber plugs on piggy banks.
Use a clear plastic for the camera hole.
Since it is only a project, it shouldn’t be a problem building the robot in pieces. Then glue the final chassis to seal any open cracks.
Hopefully my idea doesn’t negate your entry.
