I was going to post pics of my cable and adapter, both provided by parallax.com in one of their kits. but instead of me doing that, just go to their site and type in 28030, or 28031 (with cable), $15-$17 US.
Man, to be honest with you, I think my stamp really is dead. The cable I posted the link of has a usb to rs232 or(FTDI chip) integrated in the cable at the rs 232 side. The cable is not the problem, I have loaded a lot of code with it before, to this very stamp specifically, what happened was my host program started to crash a lot. Still does or it does not pick up the bs2, “fatal com error” or “stamp not found” or freeze and crash.
The stamp still executes its last program I uploaded, I think something between the sout and vss ports got damaged, don’t know how thou and it makes no sence.
I have reinstalled the cable drivers, the host program, parallax usb drivers, everything I possibly can, had no effect. So I don’t know what to look for any more, software problems, hardware problems.
According to you and me the hardware is correct, it work very well as it is now and before. So then it must be software, but I can literally do nothing more on my pc except reinstalling windows. And I do not think that will solve the problem.
