Ok, thanks, we will defiantly be looking into this as a solution. We might just end up building our own h-bridge and circuit with a microcontroller my buddy has used before, seeing as it is a very simple circuit.

If what you really want is fully programmable servo electronics that can be placed into (or replace) standard electronics, you might want to look at the Open Servo board. This is a fully Open Source servo electronics replacement that provides many more control and data access possibilities than standard servo electronics and the full source code is available. You won’t lose the standard PWM control ability, but will gain a lot of potential you would not otherwise have. You can also use the data read ability (position, etc) while still controlling servos via PWM. Since you asked about source code, this may be the ideal thing for your application.
I’m still hoping Jim finds a way to bring the Open Servo to the Lynxmotion product line because I think it would add so many possibilities for robotics.
