Biped walk woes

Bob, I think it looks a lot better. I would try to work with what you have for now and see how it goes. Your last setup was definetly a bad configuration. The two changes you made should be an improvement.

well there is a great improvement, i’ve gotten it to lift one leg off the ground, wiggle it’s toes, and stand up again 8)
putting the foot down somewhere else and keeping balance is something else though…

I’ve noticed that the knee servo gets particularly hot, it’s actually burning to the touch, which i just can’t imagine is good for it -I have turned the bot off everytime i remembered to check it, it was that warm.
I’m hoping that in normal operation the force on it will be a lot less than it is in this testing phase when it’s holding loads for a while.

My arm is aching from holding it up, no wonder the servos are having a hard time doing the same i suppose :confused:

To alleviate the knee servos a bit, you can counter balance with some springs from a well stocked hardware store.
