someone I know bought the Neato XV-21 Robot Vacuum Cleaner a few years ago. They have a dog and they told me that this robot is wroking really well for dog’s hair. I have 2 dogs and i would like to know if there is a better vacuum robot than the neato xv-21 for pets hair ( irobot roomba 880 maybe?? )

The Roomba 880 is a great robot for picking up pet hair and debris. We also like the new Neato Botvac series for picking up pet hair.

I have a dog myself, I know the feeling of never getting rid of that hair all over the couch and so on… 
IMO most robot vacuums do not have enough power and precision to target places with a lot of dog hair.
As for my personal experience - just get roomba 650. I have two dogs and it works with all of the hairs like a charm.
I have it now for about 2 month so i can say its the best value for the money.
It might be a bit expensive as cheapest ones, but its totally worth them.
Iv made a lot of research before deciding the best model, so you can lay on my word

I agree with the latest Roomba, Roomba 980 is burshless which means hair don’t get stuck somewhere inside, since everything goes straight to the bin. I used to have a 650 and it seemed to do great at first. However, when we got our kid a chow (which doesn’t shed so much by the way), that’s when it started doing frequent “cleaning breaks”. Turns out t’was because of the hair. It hasn’t been well reviewed here so now we got ourselves a 980 and never been happier, no more hair getting stuck!!
Hello JackMayyam, as you said comparing in between Roomba 980 and Roomba 650, 980 is great for pet hair pickup. But it’s not a budget option. That is why it is advisable always to get Roomba 650 which is an ideal option for pet hair.
And to my surprise, Irobot updated the 650 with a new design including powerful spinning side brush which perfectly extracts the pet hair.

Purchased a Dyson 360 a week ago, besides the dust bin being on the small side, this has been a great vacuum. Recommend to pet owners to help keep up with hair; especially, if you have carpet.
Yeah, the Roomba 900s are a bit too pricey. In fact, before we opted to this, we took a look on the 800 series. I read here that they’d do good with pet hair too. for the 650 though, we’ve been having problems with it dealing with pet hair. lol. now it’s no longer working -.-
Dyson 360 has amazing suction, but it has too many downsides compared to Roomba 980.

Irobot roomba 650 is the best vacuum cleaner for pet hair. this is really good at sucking pet hairs specially dogs.

I myself have a roomba 890 bought from the RobotShop (thank’s again for that magical device)!
But there’s an option bObsweep pet hair which not that expensive and a quite good one judging by the reviews.
Accordingly, It would be great if RS sell it as well.
Price wise: which one would you choose on these two? I own a cat and two dogs and they’re all very furry; leaving furs everywhere especially on the carpet. I’m buying a robot vac today for christmas. The article on this site robotvacuumarea.com/neato-vs-roomba/ gave me a good idea on which one to go but if you could give me some more insights that would be great.

if you want an option in vacuum cleaner other than robot vacuum is Dyson v6 absolute.
The appeal of these robot vacuums is undeniable. But they’re not for everyone. You should think long and hard before buying one. If you read a review of a Roomba in the technology press or an Amazon comments section, you’ll see one common complaint – robotic vacuum cleaners aren’t terribly powerful at sucking up dirt. This is a no-brainer. They’re much smaller than normal vacuum cleaners, and rather than depending on a mains power source, they have to use (and conserve) a battery pack. And they can’t even climb stairs. It is still better to use regular vacuums for pethair.
Having 5 pets in our house, cleaning up the fur mess is no joke. My dog is shedding a lot and still figuring out the cause of his excess shedding. I tried to brush his coat but the shedding is getting worse. In addition to that, I have 2 Persian cats roaming around the house. I live in a tropical area and I use the electric fan a lot. Whenever I clean the house using a broom, the furs are everywhere even in hard to reach corners of the house. I hate using the vacuum cleaner as it is hurting my back a lot.
I was amazed that technology has come up with these inventions. As a senior, I am truly amazed.
