Basics: How Do I Choose a Battery?

Thanks for the idea, I will use two step down regulators.

For Max chip, the board is this one :


I think it is the same use 3v3 or 5v pin.
I use a little 3W speaker as the example on Adafruit .

Ah, ok, that seems fine then.

You’ll prob. want two beefy regulators then so you have plenty of current for both servos and your electronics.
I’d say aim for your calculated current consumption to represent about 60-80% of the max rating for your target regulator.

So, for example, you want 1300 mA (<= 200 mA + 100 mA + 1000 mA) for your electronics, so that dedicated regulator should be rated for at least 2.5-3.0 A. That should take care of any initial current peaks when powering everything on.

For the servos, you say about 1.5 A, but for inductive loads I’d easily go double that or more. I’d go for at least 5 A (shouldn’t be too hard to find!). This one could probably do the job well!
