Nice work! Great control with the Sabertooth too
interesting and cool.
how does it do on sloped surfaces? is it’s CG low enough that it doesn’t flip over on 40 to 45 degrees?
One of those would be nice to have at home. Although cliff sensors would have to be added to keep it from going of the curb.
Looks like it goes in whatever direction, like a Roomba. Although, I guess the only viable alternative at the moment is to bury a metal cable in the ground.
Maybe adding a sensor to tell if it’s going over uncut grass, grass it’s already cut, or the driveway / road might come in handy.
It weights about 170 lbs and the CG is quite low, I cant imagine it flipping over. I attempted to make a grass sensor but it doesn’t work so well. Its a switch that drags in grass, I need to figure out the code for it
Wow! Neat Robot! My Dad does a lot of gardening, I’m sure he’d love this!
By the way, what Wheelchair motors are those? I tried using wheelchair motors for my robot, Nina, but they were too big and bulky so I had to settle for windshield wiper motors (and as the base is getting pretty heavy I don’t know how well they’ll stand up). Those wheelchair motors on your robot look about half the size I bought. Where did you get them?
White Crow
the are framco motors, that I got from ebay
