I find this a little unusual on a Windows 7 system. All of the systems I have seen assign a higher COM port number to a USB to serial adapter. Have you tried other available COM ports
Windoz 7 also appears to be watching the Basic Micro Studio closely, or maybe it’s the virus protection. Three times now I’ve had BM Studio “removed”, and had to install it. I’ve yet to get the drivers to load. Might look at loading/running in admin mode. It’s not my primary development system (it’s a new laptop), so I haven’t worked on the problem seriously.
It looks like you have an Atom, not an Atom Pro. So, you need to change the two drop down lists at the top of studio. First change “BasicAtomPro” to “BasicAtom”, then change the next drop down to “BasicAtom28”
How long have you had this Atom? I had an older atom that I had a very difficult time getting Studio to make work… You might try to old Legacy IDE which you can download from the Basic Micro site and see if it will talk to it (downloads.basicmicro.com/downloa … m_2211.zip)
Depends, not sure what type of Hexapod you have… If you have something like a phoenix and wish to use the phoenix code, it will not work. However if you have a robot like a CHR-3 or the like that is compatible with powerpod (lynxmotion.com/p-566-free-do … erpod.aspx), yes it is possible to get it to work.
Also if you have a 2 DOF hex robot, you can make use of the SSC-32 Hex sequence code as well…
