i made this on breadboard and it appears to work.

but before i start soldering im wondering if i missed anything, if anything can be done better etc.
being the noob that i am i'm sure i overlooked stuff...

truth:

A B C - W X Y Z

1 1 0 -   0 1 1 0 forward
0 1 0 -   0 0 0 T turn left
1 0 0 -   1 0 0 0 turn right
1 1 1 -   1 0 0 T reverse
0 1 1 -   1 0 0 T reverse
0 0 0 -   1 0 0 T reverse
0 0 1 -   1 0 0 T reverse

(C = normally off, A+B = normally on, T = timed pulse)

they are AND gates and the

they are AND gates and the 555 is for making a timed pulse on one of the reverse outputs so it turns
when it backs up from obstacles or both sensors are over black.

thats the theory, though there is 1 problem in that if it strays off the line, it won’t find its way back.

i think i’m just gonna order a mini breadboard i can mount on the bot so i can keep messing with it.
