6 new brackets on the way

Hey Mike,
I was going to whack Nick with his own news paper, but I got to feeling guilty. After all he probably feels embarrassed over the fact that he was going to put loctite in his ball bearing assembly in the new waist rotation.

Just havin’ a little fun Nick.
Yep… just one big happy family.

Tinman

The term ā€œraceā€ refers to the grove in the hubs that holds the balls. Hey, I’m an EE, not a mechanical engineer. I had to learn this stuff recently too. Mike Keesling helped me out with the design of this part.

Oh yeah Nick? Then Give me all your sevos before I make you smell the inside of my shoe, after all were are bothers right?

Hi Jim,
Good job on the LPA! A bit pricey though…

Some thoughts on it:

I thought it was a mistake to not include a full 360 gear on the servo…

It prevents many possibilities for folks that what to use a continuous rotation servo in their design.

Of course one option is to offer an upgrade kit for it with several different gears for different ratios…

I think the new Hub and Bracket from the set should be available seperately.

The components could be useful in designs on their own…

I don’t think its necessary for the bracket to be available in Anodized Black (or any other color) because of the nature of the axis, its something that may be hidden in most designs anyway…

Unless of course you make the bracket available as a seperate item - then some folks might like the color option…

I know you like to offer complete solutions in your designs, so maybe (among your other hundred projects!) you could find some grease and loctite (#24205) in small capsules that you could include with the kit?

From a marketing standpoint - people are lazy! The more you do for them the more likely they are to click that ā€œbuyā€ button!

I’m new to this forum, and I haven’t read all the threads, so maybe these points have already been remarked upon?

Ok - maybe that was 5 cents!

Thanks for your time, and efforts…
