It just seems
just yesterday that WowWee was talking about the
RoboRaptor,
RoboPet, and
RoboSapien V2, but
now they're talking about the 2006 RoboSapien product line.
PC Magazine and
Pocket-Lint both have lots of pictures.
... the Robosapien RS2 Media introduces a USB port, LCD display on the
chest, and, perhaps most notably, an SD Memory card slot in its back.
You'll be able to do motion capture and record your voice to the SD card. The display screen shows what the RoboSapien is seeing, and can be used to play back video. He is accompanied by a full software suite for programming him. Oh, and he also plays MP3s.
RoboReptile will be smaller than RoboRaptor and will hop and scuttle about.
The company unveiled an early prototype of the two-wheeled Personality
Bot, or P-Bot, a friendly, funny, chatterbox of a robot that uses
Segway's motion balance system to stay upright.
I imagine the price-point will be rather high on these new robots. It'll be interesting to see if comsumers go for it. I've heard some folks balking at the RoboSapien V2 price.
