Robots fighting humans?

Posted on 15/04/2010 by vabry in Competitions
This video shows images of the Robo-One competition and mentions that the ultimate aim of combat robots is to be able to fight humans. As RD says, that's never been the goal of Robo-One. Rather, organizing robot competitions allows robotics to advance quicker. Plus, if there were fights between humanoid robots and humans, you wouldn't put much money on the lives of the humans fighting the machines. It shouldn't be forgotten that robots are primarily built to help human beings, not to fight them, even for enjoyment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnXDRx6xrdg
