The top two teams, UF and Duke were both competing with an old vehicle. Duke has used the same vehicle for a number of years and basically has a pretty easy job of it. The same goes for Cornel, MIT, and others. UF won first place last year and has a really nice vehicle.
My team, NCSU, took 9th place. We didn't have quite enough man-power on the software side of things and has some system malfunctions the night before our second qualifier. Our vehicle is pictured up at the top.
All the teams were required to submit a jornal paper for evaluation. You can find links to all the team papers here. They're easy to read and informative.
