The
Mint vacuum robot was presented at CES in Las Vegas in January.
iRobot (Scooba) is about to have a serious competitor. A few days ago we told you about
Neato Robotics, a super intelligent vacuum to compete against Roomba.
Mint Evolution is a
floor cleaning robot and it has the special feature of being able to move autonomously, with an improved performance compared to its competitors on the market.
Its secret weapon is in its new approach to indoor navigation with an
infrared system which maps the room where it is located.
The CEO of Evolution Robotics compares this ray to a
mini GPS system, called
NorthStar which was used for the first time in
Wowwee Rovio.
The Mint uses Swiffer type cloths, both dry and wet. It can
clean corners,
doesn't fall when it sees a space, is
silent, 4 times faster than iRobot Scooba and, more importantly,
it remembers where it has already cleaned with its intelligent system.
