Usually, human-like robots come from Japan or Korea, but Lately, Hanson Robotics (from the USA) has been working hard on producing remarkably accurate human-like heads for robots. These heads can express emotions through facial expressions, can talk and they even understand speech. The robots skin is made of  Frubber, a material they patented which is remarkably similar to human skin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZM_0OtzO7o Although the uncanny valley is never very far when dealing with human-like robots, these heads are not as creepy as some others we saw in the past. Below you can see Phillip, a reconstitution of writer Philip K. Dick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9MUg6uk5lg
