Behold the Totally Revamped RobotShop Blog

With the objective of providing our customers with the best service possible, not only did we upgrade the look and feel of our blog, but also supplemented with all the content from GoRobotics.net.

More than meets the eye

But don't get fooled bu the pretty colours; This is more than a shallow update of the looks. We completely redesigned the blog layout in order to make it compliant with the latest web technology. As explained in a previous post, we merged the content from GoRobotics.Net and our older Learning Centre in order to transform this blog into the ultimate destination for learning about robotics and getting informed about the latest robotic developments. Also, we incorporated lots of new functionality to help your browsing experience.

New Features

Besides the obvious look change, we incorporated several new features that we believe improve the blog usability:

• Fluidity! The blog content will now stretch to the entire extent of your browser window. No matter if you are looking at the blog in a 1080 HD screen or in a smaller device, the site will adjust and fill your screen with robotic goodies. Responsive? Not yet, but it is not impossible that the feature will be incorporated in the future.
• RobotShop Product Search and cart link incorporated in the blog header to help you integrate your robotics news and robotic goods consumption.
• Quick access links to our forums where you can discuss your robotic technical questions and prouesses.
• A better integrated blog search. For instance, our 404 Error page will try to find what you are looking for even if you do not have the correct link.
• New hierarchical categorization of the content to help you browse it more conveniently. Also, it comes with a fancy accordion-style collapsing system for the pleasure of your senses.
• Posts excerpt! We understand that you need access to the information fast, that is why we now display short excerpts of the posts along with a preview image that helps you know if you want to dig into the article or not.
• Featured category buttons at the top of the pages suggest and illustrate other categories that might interest you.
• Authors are now more prominently featured in posts and on all pages. Don't be surprised if new contributors from the community join the blog and start authoring some posts.

This is not your everyday grandma's site, it uses cutting edge HTML5 technology to bring you a fast and fancy browsing experience. As such, it will take more than your grandma's browser to fully enjoy it. We recommend updating to the latest version or your standards-compliant browser to get the full RobotShop Blog experience.

Something is Broken!

We redesigned every single aspect of this website and as such, it is a tremendous undertaking, This is why, despite our efforts, things might still be broken some times. However, don't panic. If you see something out of place, a dead link, or one of the pages becoming sentient and trying to take over your computer, simply leave a comment and we will make sure to correct those kinks.
