SIMPLE LINE FOLLOWER- FIRST ROBOT


THIS IS SIMPLE LINE FOLLOWER ROBOT.. WITHOUT USE OF ANY MICRO CONTROLERS OR PROCESSORS.

ITS TOO EASY AND CHEAP TO MAKE AS IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY PROGRAMMING AND ANY SPECILAISED DESIGNING.

I RECOMMEND THIS FOR THOSE WHO ARE MAKING THEIR FIRST ROBOT EVER!

ALL THE BEST 


 COMPONENTS NEEDED:

 

  1.  IR SENSORS(2 PAIR)
  2. VARIABLE RESISTANCE(PRESET - 20K)
  3. RESISTORS(10K,220Ω)
  4. BREADBOARD/PCB
  5. TWO DC GATE MOTORS(100rpm)
  6. 1 CASTER WHEEL(ckeck spelling of caster)
  7. ICs USED:
  • LM-324
  • ULN-2803(Motor driver)
  • 7805(Volt. Regulator)

 

FOLLOWS BLACK LINE.

  • Actuators / output devices: Two 100 rpm MOtors, LEDs etc
  • Control method: automatic
  • CPU: NO CPU, HENCE NO PROGRAMMING
  • Power source: A 12V BATTERY IS SUFFIENT(These batteries are usually present in UPS)
  • Programming language: NO PROGRAMMING
  • Sensors / input devices: 2 IR Sensors
  • Target environment: Smooth surfaces.
