Unit assembled at the ALFACTO factory in June 2018. Its basic morphology consists of the casing of a flask lantern manufactured around 1920. Corrugated iron, sewing presser feet, metal rods, springs, metal clips, stainless steel grid and plug of anti-evaporation bottles. Its luminous functionality is provided by the two red LED eyes that, powered by a 1.5-volt lithium battery, light up when a circuit controlled by an infrared sensor is activated. Its sound functionality is provided by a recording and reproduction module housed inside, powered by two 1.5-volt batteries. Alpha 001 is supplied with a prerecorded greeting message with the robot's synthesized voice, which can be reproduced or replaced by another re-recorded by pressing the buttons on the back of the unit.
