This is my first robot - or more correctly my recent version of my first robot. I will post some video later. It has gone trough some changes since I first assembled it a couple of weeks ago - mostly in body design. I followed fritsl's guide on how to make your first robot https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/17 but with the SRF05 instead of the Sharp infrared sensor. The code is copied from fritsl's post. I just assembled the part and trimmed the code to my pins on the board and off it went - a bit 'scared of obstacles' until I trimmed some more code but hey - it's quite amazing that a total newbe like me can get this working just like that - the guide is really nice - thank you, fritsl!

...and on/off switch

The bumper is not really usefull unless it is hit dead on center, so I'm gonna add another one to the front and maybe two in the back too.

Cruising around avoiding obstacles via ultrasound

  • CPU: Picaxe 28X
