Introduction

A while ago I decided to let my imagination run wild and create a Final Fantasy style AirShip that could really fly...

It was a pretty regular morning in the Phil Studio. I had my coffee and went totally mad (like a mad scientist would).
I had that spark in my brain, like every time 2 wires touches each other.
Some of you may know the famous series ''Final Fantasy''? No? No-one??? NO TAKERS?!

Anyway, I wanted to design, draw and create an AirShip inspired from the one in the series and that's what I did.
I had all my PLA filaments with various colors (brownnnn) and some silver.
The design of the project was crystal clear in my mind like usual.

All I had left to do was to go wait at the door of the Toys R' Us until it opens... (Saturday, 8:14 AM)

I felt like a kid in the store! I wanted to buy everything but I was there with a precise purpose.
The mission was to buy a drone, come back home and scavenge the parts and create the AirShip.

I couldn't find a drone that was big enough so I ended up with an helicopter. (40$)

I came back home, unpacked the helicopter and started as quickly as possible to verify if I could scavenge the circuit of the toy and fit the new housing.

Here you may watch all the process I went trough and all the fun I had designing and executing the final tests.

The frame of the AirShip is composed of around 500 grams of PLA material.
Most of the details were drawn on a flat surface and than installed to the boat's hull.
The circuit is fitting inside the frame as well as the battery. To power up the circuit, I design a small door to have access to the ON/OFF switch.
