Vacuum Forming & The COVID-19 Pandemic

During the early stages of the COVID-19 Pandemic there was high demand for personal protective equipment. The demand for PPE exceeded the supply available from traditional manufacturers and a rapid solution was needed. 

Formech witnessed the lack of supply available for PPE and quickly went to work on possible solutions. Formech was hopeful vacuum forming could provide some type of relief to the shortage. 

The result of this effort was the vacuum formed Formech Face Shield which could be produced faster and cheaper than similar 3D printed designs. The Formech Face Shield quickly became a popular PPE solution to be used exclusively or in conjunction with surgical masks.
