The robot
Tsutenkaku is a
robot in the shape of a tower which measures 1.70 m and was developed by 7 Japanese companies.
Such originality is tough to beat.
The creators of Tsutenkaku say that it is the largest humanoid robot in the world.
On the technical side, Tsutenkaku walks on its two legs, has two arms, possesses 80 LEDs and is powered by an electric battery.
The name
Tsutenkaku is a symbol for the city of Osaka in Japan: it represents
the tower reaching heaven and this tower really does exist. It measures 103 meters and is a broadcasting station.
Judging by the video below of
Tsutenkaku Robo, we can presume that humanoid developers are aiming to develop a gigantic version of this robot in the future which would stroll around the city and be the pride and joy of its residents. Unless they transform the existing tower to make it mobile :-)
