SimMan 3G: A Patient Robot for nurses

Posted on 02/04/2010 by vabry in Medical
James Corrigan is 72 years old and is a patient robot especially designed for nurses. The University of Houston-Victoria in America has decided to acquire this human simulator. As Victoria Advocate says, this robotic patient is dying of lung cancer but with a quick reboot he'll be all better. In fact, you can even assign it virtually any illness or symptom (from indigestion to a heart attack) for nurses to work on. The SimMan 3G costs around 60 000 dollars. Here are some video presentations. Click here to warch a recent video at the Victoria hospital in Houston. SimMan 3G http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU9CHTruYPA
