Schema Robot The Japanese laboratory, Kobayashi Lab, at Waseda University is in the process of developing SCHEMA, a new humanoid robot. It's 1.19 m tall and has 14 degrees of freedom, 6 in the arms and 8 in the head. The aim is to create an emotional humanoid. To achieve this, Schema has been given several technologies for perception (video and voice recognition) and for robot-human interaction. Waseda University was already behind the Twendy-One prototype and one of its professors recently took part in the project: Hanako, the guinea-pig robot for dentists. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cex7kbiriGk via pp
