M3-Kindy and Noby: two new Japanese robotic children

Japan has just unveiled two new humanoid robot prototypes, M3-Kindy and Noby. -M3-Kindy is a 5 year old android weighing 27 kg with 42 degrees of freedom. The M3-Kindy robotic child is packed with sensors: more than 109 in total (including video camera eyes). It was developed with the aim of studying adult-children interactions and to see how robots are capable of learning themselves and about their environment.
