Hugo Cabret is a graphic novel illustrated with 284 photos (and 511 pages) that tells the story of a young orphan cared by his uncle. Hugo wants to continue the work of his father to
bring a robot back to life.
The young boy repairs clocks in a busy Parisian railway station, and secretly succeeds in
reviving the robot. This is the start of numerous adventures, filled with magic and dreams.
Martin Scorsese acquired the rights to the book from Brian Selznick in 2007 to make a film adaptation.
The Hugo Cabret movie may start shooting shortly.
Leonardo Di Caprio has been approached to play the role of the young 12 year orphan and the movie could come out next year (2011).
