iPad for Industrial Robots

Posted on 03/05/2010 by vabry in Prototypes
Here's an example of an application of an interface using the Apple iPad to store then retransmit commands to an industrial robot (arm). The technician first writes a "Robot" text on the iPad, then stores it. Then it sends the information to its iPhone which retransmits the command to the robot. The arm reproduces the same text perfectly, exactly as it was written by the technician. The creator of this video is none other than the company, Adept, the manufacturer of the Quattro robot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-yuM93lIWo
