Callo the telephone robot

Telephone Robot Ji-Dong Yim and Chris Shaw, two researchers at Simon Fraser University have developed a telephone robot capable of walking, expressing emotions and even being used as a telepresence robot. Callo, which is 23 cm tall, is mounted on a Nokia cell phone. It has two arms, legs and can even dance. You can send it an SMS and emoticons are retransmitted on the telephone screen to show emotions. For example, happiness :-) or sadness :-( In the video you can even see the two people use it like a telepresence robot thanks to the cell phone's integrated camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCkm2LGrULY via physorg
