Research in Europe Robotland reports that Europe has invested 600 million euros to date in robotics research. It's not specified since when; EURON, via its European robotics research program, has 900 participants involved in 120 projects. The researchers are interested in cognitive systems and vision, mobile and interactive projects as well as advanced robotics. According to a study by Infonaut, 50 % of the world's robotics researchers work in Europe with leading countries Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Spain. This represents about 5000 researchers.
