I’ve finally saved up enough money to buy my latest robot and I noticed that Ping sensors are out of stock. Does anyone know when they will be back in stock? Also how does the Ultrasonic Range Sensor compare to the Ping. I’m going to need it to simply identify obstacles. Here are some of my questions. Is the Ultrasonic Range Sensor as easy to use as the Ping (take in mind I am a noob)? Does it respond to the same syntax code as the Ping does? If it is harder to use than the Ping how much? Thanks for the help in advance.

The SRF08 Ultrasonic Rangefinders are easy to use.

Perhaps easier then the ping sensors.

Oh, just Thursday. I’m pretty impatient but I can wait that long at least. I don’t have anything wrong with the Ultrasonic rangefinder except for its more expensive price tag compared to the Ping. Always good to save a little. 
Its been two weeks and still no Ping. 
I’m not mad I just endure waiting better when I know how long I have to wait. When will Ping sensors be back in stock 
Update… Parallax has them backordered till tomorrow. Give it a few days to get here. I’m sorry but I have not received a shipping notification from them yet. We did have an order returned that had 5 of them in it. We’re putting them on the website.
