Was wondering if anyone here has used lynxmotion to build something that eliminates housework? Like a rover that picks clothes off the floor? Or has anyone built a rover that will get a drink from a fridge for you?
I think lynxmotion stuff is generally a bit light on the power end to handle picking up clothes and putting them in the hamper, and the optical recognition thing would be quite a challenge… as the cat might not take well to being collected. Getting a pop though… you could use a rover and make a soda can dispenser that it could activate and retreive a can from then transport it back to you.
it cant be too hard to make a rover like that, have a camera on it and an arm that picks up the clothes just plop a hamper on top of a rover 
as to the fridge thing, i have given som though to this and sort of though of an attachment t the fridge that would allow the robot to press a button and a drink (canned or bottled would be easiet) would come down a tube into a resting spot on the robot 
I agree it wouldn’t be hard to make the robot. It’s just getting it to work right that seems like it would be the problem.
