Waht is this?!

lol, yea, spacejunk said it for me

I don’t know, the Japanese are pretty inventive. What’s nicer than a Honda? Or a Sony? Nintendo, Toyota, InuYasha  etc etc…

If you said China it would have made more sense. :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you guys really care if they copy off of Lynxmotion? I mean, who would choose there stuff over Lynxmotion anyway? I don’t think it’s possible!

 Shipping, Resources, Money, Location, Awareness of the company etc… not too hard to miss it.

take your pick. :unamused:

The idea is that someone might buy from them under the impression that they are the creators and sole providers of these brackets, not realizing they are cheaper copies.

If someone posted a robot they built with them in a thread and says how crappy and thin they are and how their robot just flops around, someone who recognizes them as SES “type” brackets might say,“Those are lynxmotion SES brackets”. Now the thread is abut how crappy the SES Brackets are from lynxmotion. Which sucks since they are just rip-offs of the real deal.
Not a huge impact on the company but not exactly something you want either.

Like Evo said, its the IDEA of what can happen becuase of this that leads to a tarnished rep of a company.

Well, I know everyone on this thread realizes the kind of quality Jim puts out. It is top knotch quality and we all know Jim is not a junk dealer like these e-gizmo clowns.

What the h*ll is PHP? Is that phillipino peso?

I know, perhaps, but it’s obvious when you look at the finish of the product that these are cheap, “poor-man’s” brackets… Since it’s an open-discussion forum, we can all “audit” the quality and finish of the product as not-genuine LM parts if one were to post pics with these cheesy replicas.

The worst is, if someone comes onto these forums posting their bot made with these junk parts asking for help…

Did you guys notice the quality of those e-gizmos? They look like they were made from garbage material…

Oh well, I guess if it makes someone happy out there using these, more power to them, but we at lynxmotion.net community knows where to get REAL QUALITY stuff… Lynxmotion.com of course!

Update… A forum member wrote them an earful and, I didn’t believe it at first, but they removed all of the brackets from their site! 8)

Your serious?

That can’t be, who was it, do you have a copy?
Did the company previously know about your brackets? Or was it just a mistake?

Not trying to be nosy, just interested.

I think more than 1 member emailed them an earful.

And they knew exactly what they were copying.

Go look… lol

I never saw the email, and I don’t know if the person wants me to publish who they are.

Wow, did they know that they were copying your idea? Congrats to the person who wrote them.

No, they had no idea the person who was providing them were copying them.

You mean they had a supplier???

I’d love to find out who that was… :smiling_imp: Did they tell you who?

I don’t really know anything except the the basics I mentioned above. The forum person can say who they are, or remain anonymous.

So that’s why it must have been taken down so quickly, makes sense.

Cudos, I geuss they didn’t need that e-mail I was going to send them

Dear god!

That’s awsome! That’s really cool. Ok, that’s why it went down so fast, they weren’t actualy making them, just buying them from a distrubutor. :smiling_imp:

I don’t want to point… but I suspect evo sent one…

naw seriously, it made my day!

I’m not the person Jim is referring to, but, yes, I made them aware of the situation as well.

Well, at least they were respectful enough to pull it off and not give you the finger instead…

Problem solved? Or will these products be pawned off to another distributor, one with no shame or guilt?
