I recently recieved the BRAT kit and have had some trouble with putting the #2 tapping screws in the servo.
it seems the screws won’t go in, do I just force them in? I don’t want to break the horn though
also, what does the tapping screw look like, just so I have the right one…
Be advised the a generic self tapping screws like sold at hardware stores will probably not work. I bought some as spares only to find they wouldn’t work as replacement servo horn screws. You go to big hobby parts places like tower hobbies and buy the replacement screws for your specific servos. It appears that different servo makers use different types of servo horn screws. You may be able to force the screws you have, but I found mine were just too different for use (a bit larger then the origionals).
Are you talking about the screws that connect the servo horn to the servo shaft, or a screw that connects the servo horn to some robot part? My response was about the horn/shaft connection.
