i bought the BRAT just recently and did everything in the instructions and was careful with all the parts, i connected the battery connector wire harness to the SSC-32 controller and attached the battery, but the green LED does not light up. Are all the batteries out of power when you buy them? Do you have to buy a charger? Or is something wrong with the board? i need dire help, and i really hope i didnt pay 300+ dollars for this BRAT for nothing, somebody - give me spiritual guidance
The SSC-32 should have the jumper, the one in fromt of the Atmeg, installed. VL=VS1, and the batt power should hook to the VS1 terminal.
Can you take a digital picture of your SSC-32? That would help.
For a single battery to power logic and servos, heāll want to be sure the VS1=VS2 jumper is also installed. I had this setup and used a single 2800 mAH 7.2V pack for W.A.L.T.E.R. for awhile, but decided I wanted more runtime so added a second battery for the logic supply. Weight is a definite issue for a biped though.

let met take the pictures to show you what iāve got on the board, do you have a momment?
You are going to have to charge the batterys sometime unless they are non rechargable. If you donāt already have one, you will need a multimeter (the more the better) to do your trouble shooting. If you have a multimeter, what is the output voltage of the batterys. If the batterys look good, then something must be miss wired or mis set.
Take that picture, I would like to see it.
The batteries are not charged when sold. Charge the batteriesā¦
