What is the difference between these two sabertooth ESC?? I’ve read the specs and they’re both the same except for the larger heatsink on one and wires on the other, and the price difference.
I need one for my MARC robot I am building this month, and I need one that I can hook up to an RC or SSC-32, becuase I like reusing my electronics from one project to another.
one is stritcly for RC control (the lower one with wires coming from it) while the top one is for inputs from a micro controller (the one i have and i like its performance)
One is RC input only, the other is analog, R/C and serial input modes.
I recommend the later only because if at a later date you shoulf want a different input mode (i.e. incorporating a small on board controller like a mini itx or other serial compatible device you will be very happy you choose the more flexible option for 15 bucks more)
Thx for the input, but I think I’ll stick with the anolog, mainly becuase I dont think I’ll be getting into using mini ITX boards or anything soon until I learn good programming skills and more about how they work.
Ok, hold on a sec, Which one is now in the 4WD LM kits??? If it is the one with the large heatsink, how does it connect to an RC controller or SSC-32?? The totorials haven’t been updated for the Sabertooth 2X10.
We will be completing the changover from the Scorpion to the Sabertooth soon. We will be using the 2 x 5 RC for the TriTracked Vehicle, and the 2 x 10 RC for the rest. We aren’t planning to include the 2 x 10 in any kits. But there will be the option to buy the rolling chassis and getting the electronics you want separately.
