My Roomba comes out of it’s charging base, travels a couple of feet and then pretty much stays in one spot rotating clockwise, then counterclockwise until issuing the 9 beep “aw crap” signal before stopping altogether. I think it must be a bumper sensor or something like that. The unit just seems confused and unable to set a direction. What do I need to replace, can anyone advise?
Hi xgijake99,
While the suggested thread does talk about replacing the bumper sensors and cliff sensors, it does not mention our new bumper sensor boards. If you have basic soldering skills, we suggest that you consider purchasing simply the two bumper sensor boards.
You can easily replace these sensors with the RobotShop installation manual (~26 MB).
