hello everybody.
i’d like to design or buy ready-made robot that will be programmable through microsoft robotics studio and will have 2-3 sensors (visual or … don’t know i’m newbie).
example of what i found interesting:
Robodyssey Mouse Basic Kit
Also i found this serializer for .net
robotshop.us/summerour-serializer-robot-controller-4.html
where can i connect it? is it possible to connect it to Robodyssey Mouse Basic Kit? What else i need?
Please help!
In terms of kits below 400$ for beginners that are compatible with MSRDS, the LEGO Mindstorms is the first that comes to mind:

We have also received a vision sensor for the NXT from Mindsensors that can expand the functionality of the robot:

Don’t let the appearance fool you, the NXT is used from high-school to university and offers excellent value and provides a solid understanding of robotics.
I agree. But are you ready to pay for a knowledge that will stop as soon as you’ll reach the limit of usability of the lego mindstorm ?
What can you do with the lego mindstorm ? Toys…
If you’re ready to code a little, in a simple enough langage (VB, .NET, API, Excel - why not ?! -) and you have a laptop or maybe a PC, I suggest to go with Phidgets and VEX. But it will cost you more than 400 $… and without using MSRDS.
Good luck,
Jeff
