Quick Question about Adruino Fio and XBee

Hello All,

New user here so apologies if I am a little bit unsure about what im asking. I currently have an Adruino Fio and I got it for the purpose of connecting it to my computer. I now realize in order to do that I need an XBee adaptor. My question is, and its quite basic. Do I just need the following items?

robotshop.com/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Spa-542&lang=en-US
and
robotshop.com/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Spa-145&lang=en-US
and
robotshop.com/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Spa-110&lang=en-US

OR is there an easier way to do this? It doesnt have to be wireless. If I were to opt for an FTDI cable (robotshop.com/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Spa-432&lang=en-US) how do I connect it to my Adruino Fio???

Thanks so much

Adam

According to the Arduino website:

You don’t really need the XBee modules or the USB to XBee breakout board - a simple USB to serial board will do fine. This does both in case you ever want to go wireless later:
