I just got my Compas-module Devantech CMPS03 and was wondering whether i have to add any pull-up resistors when connecting it by I2C to my Atom Bot Board, which carries a Basic Atom Pro 28 Pin (the pink one). Or does the ABB already handle this issue?
I hope this question isn’t too trivial, but my main concern in this project is programming not the electronics. I still have some resistors lying around so that should not be a problem, i just don’t want to fry anything by leaving something important out.
What are the I2C specifications? I will need to do another run of the ABB board soon, so I thought I would make some changes. I want to add I2C support, drop the BS2 play station port (this is the one with an inverter) it will not effect the Atom PS2 use. Actually I will create a new topic for this…
Here is the NXP (founded by Philips, creators of i2c) link for i2c information. I also have a PDF from NXP with all you would ever want to know about i2c if you’d like me to e-mail it to you.
