hey i'm looking for a project with sensors but without pic and plc. can anyone help me? it's my mechatronic engineering 2. class term project. i'm thinking to make https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/2679 but it's very simple and very easy. how can i improve it?
have you made it yet?
If not, think about improvements after you have built it, and it’s working correctly.
also take a look at this:

good luck!
nice project, thanks but…
this is line follower robot, it was my 1. class project my project must be more usefull in real life… i can’t decide what should i do. maybe a fire extinguishing car with sensors, is it possible?
without a micro controller,
without a micro controller, it is possible, but i don’t think you’ll find it anywhere on the web, and you’ll spend more money on parts than buying a picaxe starter pack.
you are right but i’m trying
you are right but i’m trying to build https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/8180 this without microcontroller. if i can, its parts not too expensive.
Mr. “Red” Adair uses a Wii
Mr. “Red” Adair uses a Wii IR camera to detect the fire, which is virtually impossible to interface to without using a microcontroller or something similar. I suggest you look into alternative sensors if you plan on making a fire extinguishing robot.
Why exactly are you trying to avoid microcontrollers and PLCs?
search for "BEAM robotics"
search for “BEAM robotics” or something similar.
my project about Sensor
my project about Sensor Techniques and we have to build a robot without plc, only with sensors.
i can’t do anything without microcontrollers, so i’m looking for a project
If you can’t use micros and
If you can’t use micros and other programmable devices, are you at least allowed to use basic logic circuits? Inverters, decade counters, that sort of thing. That’d give you a lot more options than just using transistors and other basic discretes.
yes we allowed
we allowed to use all of them except microcontroller. but i can’t find a good project without it
