Need help with Programming Basic Atom Bot Board

I need help with programming the Basic Atom Bot Board. I have had help from people in my school and i still can’t figure it out. Every time I go to run the program, I click on “PROGRAM” and after a second, a message pops up saying, and I Quote, “Error starting compiler”. end of quote. I called the tech people that we got the robot from and I told him what was happening. He then said to post it and he’d get into contact with the manufacturers. So here I am. THIS IS MY FIRST AND UTMOST PROBLEM. Please answer this question before attempting to read the gibberish I have written below, though it may give you some help in my problem.
Any suggestions?

Here’s what I have.

I have a Lynxmotion L5 Arm and all I want to do is control it with the Playstation 2 Controller. I downloaded the Basic Atom editor and the program called “1516p1.bas” because that’s wht it told me to do. If ANYONE can give me explicit step by step instructions, I will be gratefully indebted to you. You don’t even need to explain. Just tell me where each wire needs to go, each jumper, what baud rate, etc. What does the board need to look like exactly in order to be able to control it with a PS2 controller? No explanations necessary, I probably wouldn’t understand. A picture would be helpful but if it proves difficult, i can do without a picture. Just give me detailed description on what the board needs to look like, down to the last wire.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE PROGRAMMING?

Welcome aboard. I did find some information for you. Quoted from IM… Acidtech: Found an error message “Error starting compiler”. This will only happen if the installation is corrupt and the compiler executable is not where it is supposed to be.

Don’t get sidetracked from the editor problem. The tutorial covers all of this. lynxmotion.com/images/html/build091.htm It includes everything you asked for, including wiring, jumpers, basic programs, even pictures. Hope this helps…
