Hi all I am an infant when it comes to your realm and having dipped my toe into your pool I am in search of your help. Where may I get a low voltage motor (1-3v) with a low rpm added to a gearing system to produce an output of 5-8 rpm?
If you don’t want to use a motor controller, getting from 10,000rpm to 5rpm takes a ~2000:1 gear ratio. If you want something relatively inexpensive, consider two Tamiya Planetary Gear Boxes. You would attach a 5:1 to the 400:1 ratio (so you could still use the remaining parts of the second motor for something else) to get ~5-6rpm.
