Hi
I have the max of 2 fsr’s running on the ssc32-works great but I would like to use more than 2 sensors so it looks like I need to buy the mini botboard.
Purpose:
I only want to use this abb board for 3 wire sensors to send values back to the ssc32 and back then back to the computer.
For just sensor usage, do I need to purchase a chip or can I just buy the abb carrier ?
Looks like 16 3-wire sensors can be attached, is this correct ?
The Mini-ABB is designed to make 3 wire sensors and servos plug and play. Yes, there are 16 pin sets for 3 wire servos and sensors. You also have four sets of pins for analog sensors such as the Sharp IR rangers when using the Basic Atom (not PRO) at AX0 - AX3. The Atom PRO can handle up to 8 analog inputs (P0 - P3 and P16 - P19) which take away from the 16 pin sets available for digital sensors, such as the Parallax PING, and servos.
Ok I think that I now have a better understanding. I am leaning towards the 28pin pro so that I can do 8 analog sensors but will wait until the new atom board is released.
