Cool! Where’d you get the light source from? Laser Pointer?
laser pointer indeed
Yes is used to be a laser pointer pen. It cintains a tiny smd pcb with a potmeterlet, a diode, a push button switch, a transistorette and a resistorante pico. And a laser diode of course.
The assembly also contained a small lens, diameter 6 mm, focal length approx. 12 mm. When taking the pen apart, I destroyed the lens holding construction unfortunaly. It had a threaded bus and a spring. This was used to fine tune the focus of the lens. And without a lens, the beam is just a blur. And again the shrinking tube came to the rescue. The pcb fitted in the tube perfectly, without shrinking. To adjust the focus, I push/pull the pcb in/out the tube.
Not as precise, but it works. And it is the lightest laysor assembly imaginable.
