Litter Robot vs. Cat Genie

I have read a lot of negative stuff about the cat genie. It not cleaning properly or water leaks and, the thing breaking and just making poo soup… etc.
I like the concept but feel like I should prob go with the litter robot.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with them both?

That’s for the Catgenie 60, the new Catgenie 120 only requires to insert the cleaning cartridge 4 times a year and press start. I extensively Googled about the device because it seemed too good to be true and all the complaints I found were about the 60. I’m very satisfied with my Catgenie 120.

Welcome to the RobotShop community.

Like all domestic robots, it is important to maintain and clean the catgenie. Customers that do have problems with clogging usually do not take the catgenie apart to clean it as recommended. It is suggested to do so twice a year.

If you do have a problem with the catgenie, the product has a two year manufacturer’s warranty.

The robot litter that you choose will depend on your wants and needs. The bag on the litter robot must be replaced once a week whereas the catgenie is virtually hassle-free.
