For those who might

For those who might remember, I used to run the LMR Twitter account. Unfortunately, I’ve been too busy to do anything with it lately. In truth, I’ve wanted to hand it over to someone else for some time now. So when Francisco stepped up asking what he could do to help LMR’s social media, it was a very welcome offer!

He and I spoke via Google Hangout, and I think Francisco will bring a lot of energy and ideas to our social media outlets. I continue to run our Facebook page, and we have our Google+ page too.

So thank you, Francisco!

Personally - I hate social

Personally - I hate social media! Waay too intrusive to real life

Good to know!

Thanks for your opinion PeterH!

You are not the only one I think that doesn’t believe or even have social media, for different reasons.

However, as we have also a website to share our things, you don’t have to. Is good to have difference on people, and some that use or even like the convenience of social media will visit our site because saw a post in Twitter, Facebook, and so on… whichever is the case, all of us are welcome!

News about customer care in social media

Hi Pete,

Just as an example, here a chat with someone today. At least for customer care social media maybe deserves some attention ;-) You can see the original twitter chat here while available (link also at the end of this comment).

I am not disliking social

I am not disliking social media in particular, I only dislike social media if it’s the usual stupid stuff (selfies, what I had for breakfast, lunch and dinner, my cat, share that when you care and such stuff).

I like social media in a way that it can reach people who are not visiting LMR but might be interested in one or two things. Social media means to share information with many people, even if they are not the usual target group but might get involved because of that information. You never know what people will read your information and you never know if not something great will happen in your life because of something you published.

The internet is full of good and bad things, you just need to choose what is important for you. I use what I need or I think that it will help me with something…internet phone, whatsapp, online banking…

IMO we should share our projects in social media and who don’t want to do this then just don’t. I am doing it from time to time and I guess some of it will benefit somebody in one or another way.

That’s the best part: using social media is up to anyone

Thanks lumi for your comment!

And that is the best part at social media, until your account is personal, it’s up to you how you use it. Some people like to share what they eat, cats or while traveling, and I think that can be fine: because that makes them feel close to their beloved. Personally (I don’t hide myself), I do that from time to time, excepting the cats, I’m alergic ;-). I think also it’s our personal traits what make us more “person” and so people feel more confortable we us. But that’s personal and that’s up to each of us I think.

The orther part is business, and there it’s better to keep a serious profile unless you sell funny entertainment. Reaching people you don’t know as you say is easier and faster than ever thanks to social media. There are many things to do and some to take care, and voilá new good (business) things happens. It can be new colleagues for robots, new manufacturers interested, or new posts you’d enjoy…

However, no everybody is social, in media or personal terms and that’s fine. Or have some questions. If any of you need to ask something, she/he can reach me via Contact, Twitter,Google+ or LinkedIn whichever you feel more confortable.

That’s right, I am also not

That’s right, I am also not hiding but I try to filter as much unwanted stuff out of my notifications. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I also post some personal stuff from time to tim…what I think it’s worth to show, even if it’s only for a small group of people.

As a person with an active internet usage I am not invisble and if soemone wants to contact me he/she will find a way through one of the available channels. The best and fastest is always an email, that is what I check most, except on Sunday, that day I will only read emails and most probably not reply them before Monday.

I agree with the business opportunities, that’s one of the huge benefits of that fast growing social media sevices.
