I’m looking at all the methods to make my BRAT wireless, I’ve successfully made by biped wireless using a Wiport unit + Wiport Board V3. Now I’m looking at this matchboard, though I don’t have a clue where to start. Does anyone have any info that can help, preferably a tutorial? Thx.
Uh, what kind of tutorial are you looking for? The MatchPort uses the same toolset as the WiPort, that is to say the device installer and com port redirector. You configure it the same way but there is only 1 serial port to configre. The MatchBoard PCB has a full set of gerber files that can be ordered via BatchPCB or probably any other board house and a full BOM including suggested vendors for all of the line items in the .zip file.
The biggest reason to use the matchport or wiport are the distance, and in the case of the wiport the extreme baudrate on two channels. Matchport only does 1 port at 230kbps but at half the price of a WiPort. If you don’t need the range, and can live with all the crap seemingly needed to be installed on your PC to support bluetooth it is the cheaper wireless solution at somewhere between half and 2/3 the cost of the matchport.

Found by clicking on Information, then Bipeds, then scroll to BRAT…
Um, ok, I might have mis-read his question, but looking at your tutorial begs the question of where do we buy that sexy v3 carrier bracket with the built in antenna support, hmm?
MatchBoard stacks directly with ssc-32/abb hole pattern btw. 8)
(so does the wiboard v4 but I have had no time to do anything more with it since I got the first batch of PCBs. )
