Hello, I want to buy a vacuum robot. I’m trying a roomba 650 since two weeks ( I do not own the robot ) The I robot work incredibly well and I have only hard floor so it’s more easy for the robot. The battery is very good also.
The cleanmate is less expensive, but I just want to know if it’s also good as the irobot 650 ?
Glad to hear that you like the Roomba. We carry the Roomba 660 which is very similar to the 650 but, with extra accessories such as brushes and aerovac filters.
For the price point, the QQ-3 is a good buy. It has a lot of features that other more expensive robots have such as scheduling and will return to its home base when it’s battery is low. It also has a very large dust bin. It will clean dust and small debris on hard wood floors without issues. But, we do not recommend using it on carpets. It is important to note that it’s two brush design is not counter-rotating like the Roomba and it will therefore not pick up large debris like the Roomba can or like the Neato with it’s powerful vacuum.
The robot you will choose will also depend on how big a space you would like to clean. If you have many rooms to clean and would like them cleaned every day, we would recommend a Neato. It is the only robot with a laser that will create a map of the space to clean. If it does not complete it’s cleaning during 1 cleaning cycle it will go the home base and recharge and then come back to where it left off in order to continue cleaning.
The Roomba and the QQ-3 use a variety of cleaning behaviours to cover a room, using input from its sensors to decide where to go next. They do not know where they are or where they have been in the absolute sense, but on average, they will cover each area of a room 3-4 times.
Our Robot Vacuum Challenge will give you an idea of the differences between these robots although, the exact models are not shown.
