I have ssc32 and rios and I do have Lynx 5 robotic arm.I need to know which servo should match which pin in ssc32.Please reply sir.Because gripper is not working. If I try to open/close the gripper wrist is only moving. Please do reply sir.
The RIOS program includes a nice users manual in PDF format. It illustrates clearly which servos go where. Please RTFM.
Don’t worry, not many people go with their questions unanswered.
I have checked the manual and connected the servos according to manual. But in RIOS when I press Gripper Icon only wrist is moving.Gripper is not opening or closing. What may be the reason for that? Please help me.
Do you have things connected like this?
0 base rotate
1 shoulder
2 elbow
3 wrist
4 gripper
5 wrist rotate (L6 only)
It sounds like you have the wrist and gripper swaped. Are you sure the things are connected properly. I have never heard of anyone having this problem before.
After you verify the connections Jim indicated, if it still doesn’t work you could try plugging another (different) servo into the gripper output (4) and seeing if it moves when you press the button. If the test servo moves then you have either an electrical or mechanical problem with the servo in your gripper (I’m thinking mechanical binding, mal-adjusted endpoint, or dead servo here). If the test servo does not move then something “software” like configuration is messed up (if that is even possible.)
Gripper servo is not opening/closing.I need to know how can I check for Gripper SErvo alone whether it is working or not? Please reply Sir.I have ssc32 and RIOS only.I dont have bot board.I need to check for gripper servo whether it is working properly or not? Please Reply sir.
Saranavan, you keep asking the same question without providing additional information. As has already been stated, you probably have the gripper and wrist servo on the wrong ports. Specifically, you have the wrist servo plugged into the gripper servo’s port.
Have you tried plugging the gripper servo into the port where the wrist servo is currently? If the wrist servo is responding to that port, then it would be logical to plug the gripper servo into it, right?
This is a complex hobby… at some point you are going to have to bite the bullet and actually try to learn something.
